Delhi: 1 dead, 2 hurt as mob clasheswith police

New Delhi: One person died and two others were injured as clashed erupted between locals and police in East Delhi. Though police have denied firing at the mob and have claimed that they only used tear gas to disperse the crowd, bullet injuries have reportedly been found on the body of the dead and those injured. The incident was reported at 8 pm from Mayur Vihar Phase-III. Heavy police force has been deployed in the area. Fifteen police personnel were also injured in the incident and about six to seven locals are being treated at Lal Bahadur Shastri (LBS) Hospital andGuru Teg Bahadur Hospital (GTB) Hospital. Two police post, half a dozen low-floor DTC buses, about a dozen two wheelers and four wheelers are reported to have been damaged in the incident.
